The article is devoted to the urgent modern problem of monitoring agricultural landscapes in the agricultural land use system, since their condition and dynamics of development of various degradation processes are a serious threat to agricultural production. The article presents the results of monitoring studies of degradation processes in the territory of the zone of unstable humidification of the Stavropol Territory and the classification of agricultural landscapes according to their suitability for agricultural use. There is an intensification of such negative processes as water erosion, deflation, their joint manifestation, as well as salinization. These processes are influenced by both natural factors and anthropogenic activities.
