Abstract (English):
The efficiency of agricultural production is affected by a variety of factors, the key ones of which are: the use of advanced technologies and technical means in production; creation of specialized enterprises and their close integration with industrial production; development of management and economic incentives; rational organization of the use of land and labour resources. Summarizing the academin literature concerning the essence of efficiency in the agricultural sector (the ratio of the effect of production to the used resources or costs, providing expanded reproduction in the market economy), the article systematizes the types (technological, economic, social), criteria and basic indicators of economic efficiency.
