Abstract (English):
Land use plannig is an important and integral part of the system of agricultural production and food security of each state. The specifics of the formation and use of land resources dictate the use of special approaches to the process of managing them. Land resources in the agricultural sector simultaneously act as an object of state and economic management. It is important to preserve the fertility of productive land resources, ensure environmental safety, and improve the efficiency of land use. The article presents a historical assessment of the regulation of land resources in the agricultural sector of Russia, outlines the main stages of the formation and development of land relations in Russia. Theoretical aspects of economic regulation of land relations in the agricultural sector are presented. Prerequisites for the development of agricultural production in Russia based on their available land resources are substantiated.
