Abstract (English):
The object of the research is small and medium-sized businesses in the agricultural sector of the Magadan region. The subject of the study is the prospects for the development of the agro-industrial sector of the Magadan region. The article attempts to assess the development of SMEs in the agricultural sector of the Magadan region in the context of uncertainty in the external environment. The authors analyzed the state of SMEs in the Magadan region, as well as small enterprises in the agricultural sector of the economy, for the period 2015-2019. Identified problems in the development of agriculture in the region. Special attention is paid to the socio-economic characteristics of the Magadan region, which in some areas negatively affects some indicators of agricultural production. The research methodology includes the use of methods of systemic and statistical analysis. Also, the authors used empirical methods, in particular, comparison. The authors present promising measures in the development of agriculture in the Magadan region, in particular within the framework of the state program "Development of agriculture in the Magadan region for 2014-2024".
