Abstract (English):
The article is devoted to the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, which is one of the agrarian subjects of the Russian Federation and is actively working on the self-sufficiency of agricultural products and the sale of surplus to neighboring regions and the country as a whole. In the conditions of the introduction and then the extension of sanctions against Russia by a number of Western countries, the agro-industrial complex faces the task of solving the problem of import substitution, which is being successfully solved.
