Abstract (English):
Russia is one of the key players in the Arctic due to its significant hydrocarbon resources. However, the presence of significant oil and gas reserves on the Russian Arctic shelf does not guarantee the success of projects aimed at developing these fields, since their initiation and implementation are influenced by a variety of political, macroeconomic and other factors. This influence is currently increasing due to the current problematic macroeconomic situation in Russia. Economic, geopolitical, climate, infrastructure, environmental and other factors create uncertainty in the development of Arctic oil and gas projects.
