SIMULATION AND ASSESSMENT OF GROUNDWATER AND SURFACE WATER POLLUTION BY THE FILTRATE OF SOLID WASTE LANDFILL

Abstract (English):
This article discusses the modeling filtration run-off process in the solid waste landfill. Calculations have been made for geoecological conditions of filtration of soils of the Moscow region. It is estimated that the volume of the filtrat reaches tens of cubic meters per day, and the dilution factor is 2-10-3. The model was tested at the poligon «Dolgoprudhy». During the course of environmental engineering studies, studies were carried out on the surface waters of the Businka river, as well as samples of groundwater in the surrounding area were taken. The results showed a significant contribution of the filtrat to the pollution of groundwater and surface water. According to a number of indicators, the excess of PDK reaches dozens of times. The data show a satisfactory convergence of model calculations and experimental results.
