Abstract (English):
Currently, in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, the use of land resources of protected areas for the implementation of investment projects in the field of industrial production, including for the purpose of geological exploration and development of oil and gas fields, is cost-effective, but social and environmental components are not taken into account. Currently, more than 30% of the land resources of the protected areas of the Autonomous Okrug are involved in the oil and gas industry. Despite the high level of profitability of oil and gas projects, the level of support for protected areas is insufficient not only for their development, but in some cases for their conservation.
