In the last decade, the agricultural industry has been transformed from a backward and underdeveloped sector due to digitalization and innovative technologies into a competitive and innovative one. A few years ago, agrarians were acutely concerned with the high cost of energy, an underdeveloped technological base, the dependence of production on natural conditions, as well as difficulties in promoting products to markets. New machines and robots, as well as innovative technologies, help improve crops and monitor plant growth in real time. Computer programs developed individually for each crop make it possible to control the development of these crops. At the same time, manual labor is reduced to a minimum. Thanks to new technologies, over the past 10 years, Russia has become the largest exporter of wheat in the world grain market. The impact of digitalization on the agricultural industries is visible in the livestock sector, where high rates of cattle productivity have been achieved in recent years. In recent years, the crop industry has achieved significant results in increasing crop yields. Today, the use of digital technologies is not just a fashion trend. This is a necessary factor for the further development of the agro-industrial complex of the country and its regions in order to provide domestic agricultural products. New technologies help get rid of import dependence on certain products, which are now actively promoted by domestic manufacturers. Information technologies are an integral part of modern agricultural production, and they help to make Russian agriculture sustainable and competitive. The purpose of this article is to analyze the activities of advanced agricultural organizations in the Sverdlovsk region. Based on the goal in the scientific study, tasks were set to study new technologies used in the advanced farms of the Sverdlovsk region, as well as the role of these farms in providing the region with products of its own production. The article uses such research methods as the method of analysis and synthesis, the method of analogy and the method of factor analysis.
