Currently, the agrarian policy in our republic is aimed at intensifying the production of meat, milk, eggs and wool. In February 2005 the decree of the President of the country on the program of socio-economic development of the regions and the resulting action plan serve to implement this policy. All this requires the use of a large number of concentrated compound feeds in the republic. In recent years, there has been some progress in the productivity of animals in the republic, as well as in the overall production of products. Thus, meat production in 2009 compared to 2000 amounted to 176.0 thousand tons against 108.7 thousand tons, milk production -1433.1 thousand tons against 1031.1 thousand tons, egg production-1209.4 thousand tons against 542.6 thousand tons. However, the production of feed in the republic is still unsatisfactory both in terms of total volume and quality. In Azerbaijan, compared with the Baltic countries, the consumption unit of feed in animal husbandry is 4.3 times less per animal population. In particular, the production of concentrated compound feeds, which compensates for the lack of nutrients, minerals and vitamins in other feeds, is at a fairly low level. It is obvious that an urgent problem is to increase the efficiency of the production of concentrated compound feeds, their preparation in the required quantity, improving the quality and composition of the harvested feed. The future level of development of animal husbandry and the efficiency of animal husbandry depends on how exactly this problem will be solved.
