MONITORING THE ECOLOGICAL STATE OF WATER BODIES IN THE STAVROPOL REGION

Abstract (English):
The ecological state of watercourses plays an important role in the health of the population and in the development of all living things. The importance of assessing the quality of surface waters in the Stavropol Territory lies in the fact that they are used for water management purposes. There are many water bodies on the territory of the Stavropol Territory. Many of them are widely known outside the region. The legendary Lake Bujvola is one of the most famous and natural attractions with its own history. The purpose of the research was to assess the ecological state of surface waters in the Budennovsky municipal district of the Stavropol Territory. The research was carried out using observation, description, cartographic and bioindication methods.Based on the analysis of monitoring data on the hydrochemical indicators of Lake Bujvola, a general description of the ecological state of water bodies is given. Having analyzed the surface waters of Lake Bujvola in the Budennovsky municipal district of the Stavropol Territory, we can say that they are generally safe, but are significantly polluted with organic substances.
