Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The scientific article contains an overview of economic research by domestic and foreign scientists on the problems of import substitution and ensuring the country’s food security, as well as pricing policy. According to the official website of the Federal State Statistics Service, the structure of the retail price of beef in 2022 is shown, in which the largest share is occupied by the cost of raw materials and trading costs, and the smallest share is the cost of delivery, primary processing and profit. The cost of raw materials in the structure of the retail price for beef is 46%, and trading costs are 45%. A study was conducted on the dynamics of average consumer prices for beef: the lowest growth rate was observed in 2016, and the highest growth rate in 2015, 2021 and 2022. In 2016, the growth rate of the average consumer price for beef was 100.01% (an increase of 0.8 rubles). In 2015, the increase in the average consumer price was 42.66 rubles. (growth rate 115.67%), in 2021 – increase of 55.42 rubles. (growth rate of 115.35%), in 2022 — an increase of 67.71 (growth rate of 116.26%). An analysis of the dynamics of beef production volumes showed that the rate of decline in production was observed in 2014 — 2017 and 2020, and the rate of growth in production volumes in 2018 — 2021. In 2014, the decrease in beef production amounted to 9 thousand tons (a decrease rate of 99.69%), in 2015 — a decrease by 35 thousand tons (a decrease rate of 98.77%), in 2016 — a decrease by 43 thousand tons (reduction rate of 98.48%), in 2017 — a decrease by 39 thousand tons (a decrease rate of 98.6%), in 2022 — a decrease by 94 thousand tons (a decrease rate of 96.74%). The growth rate of average consumer prices for beef exceeded the consumer price index in 2015, 2021 and 2022. The growth rate of average consumer prices for beef lagged behind the consumer price index in 2014 and 2016-2019.
