Information and communication technologies (ICTs) are playing an increasingly important role in the development of the economy and society as a whole. The countries of the Asia-Pacific region (APR) have great potential for ICT development due to their rapidly developing economies and active participation in world trade. Many Asia-Pacific countries, such as Japan, South Korea, China and Singapore, are leaders in the field of information technology. These countries invest in the development of their own companies working in the field of information technology, stimulate innovation and create favorable conditions for the development of ICT. The article examines the main directions of development of information and communication technologies, identifies common approaches to the development of ICT, provides an assessment of the ICT market in 2022, and gives a forecast for 2027 in the Asia-Pacific countries.
