Rapid industrial and urban development of China affected significantly the environment, namely the water resources. Water pollution in China has become the key ecological problem threatening the public health, biodiversity, and sustainable development. The significant role as one of the factors, provoking this problem, takes the agriculture. The main focus of the article is drawn to the study of the quite successful case of China as for prevention of water pollution, and the main aim of the article is to estimate the effect of the accepted zero growth policy in pesticides use by the state to control the polluted water that affected positively the level of pollution of water resources.
