The article substantiates the impact of the organization of sustainable business processes for the management of municipal solid waste (MSW) on the preservation and restoration of agricultural land productivity. The transformation of the linear economic model "waste generation – burial" into a cyclical model of a closed-cycle economy is proposed. It provides for the processing of the organic fraction of MSW into soil improvers. The described methodology is based on the analysis of domestic and foreign experience in the implementation of separate collection of organic waste. industrial composting and anaerobic digestion. as well as on the assessment of the economic and environmental effects of the return of organic matter to the soil. The methodology can be used to analyze the economic efficiency of organizing sustainable MSW management, taking into account agricultural land productivity in digital business process management models. The results of calculations of a typical digital model of a pilot project in an agglomeration with a population of 1.2 million people are presented. The results show that the organization of sustainable business processes for handling the organic part of MSW contributes to: restoration of soil fertility by increasing the humus content; reduction of degradation and erosion of farmland; reduction of soil pollution by toxic components of landfill filtrates; reduction of land alienation for landfills; formation of economic incentives for the use of organic fertilizers from waste instead of synthetic. Sustainable recycling of organic MSW waste is an essential condition for saving agricultural land. It allows you to close the biogeochemical cycles of nutrients and transfer waste from the category of environmental threat to the category of a resource for restoring soil fertility.
