Abstract (English):
Sustainable development of rural areas, improving the living standards of the rural population is proclaimed the main goal of the state agrarian policy of Russia. At the same time, the lack of information on the current state of rural development does not allow for objective management decisions. In this regard, the article analyzes the development indicators of rural territories in the Russian Federation in recent years, and also identifies key factors that determine the direction and nature of changes in rural areas.
