STATE AND TRENDS OF US FOREIGN TRADE IN LIVESTOCK PRODUCTS IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Abstract (English):
Over the past 10-15 years, the Russian agricultural sector has made significant progress in the production of a number of types of agricultural products. Including some names of livestock products, in particular, pork, poultry meat, eggs. Further production growth is constrained by a number of factors, including limited demand from the poor, who make up the majority of the country's citizens. In this regard, the issue of increasing export supplies of these products has come up on the agenda. The United States is the world's largest producer of livestock products in general, having exported significant amounts of it to the global agricultural market for a long time. In this context, the diverse experience of this country in positioning and promoting its products abroad is undoubtedly of significant interest for the further development of the livestock industry of the Russian agro-industrial complex. This article analyzes the foreign trade, primarily exports, of the United States of livestock products, its structure, main markets and marketing factors of these products are considered. A number of generalizing conclusions regarding the position of the United States in this segment of the global agricultural market in the 21st century are proposed.
