Abstract (English):
In this article, the authors consider the issues of developing the spatial organization of rural areas by improving human activity as part of a certain community of people (rural population) and in a specific place (rural locality). The authors have identified a priority area for the development of rural areas, which represents the advanced development of anchor settlements. In the Chuvashia region under study, the relationship between the main settlements of federal and regional importance has been revealed. A characteristic of one of the rural settlements of the Morgaushsky district of the Chuvash Republic is presented, which shows the general state of the living environment of the population in the settlements. Ways to improve the spatial organization and the living environment of the population in rural agglomerations are proposed.
